Dance is a discipline and a uniform is set to put all students in the correct frame of mind, helping them learn and enjoy themselves and giving them a sense of pride and belonging to KLD.

The KLD uniform is designed not just to look good, but it allows teachers to see that dancers have proper body alignment and placement to ensure dance technique is correct and safe.

Junior Classical Ballet (Pre-Primary - Grade 2)

Pale Pink sleeveless leotard
Pale pink wrap skirt
Ballet pink pantyhose
Pale pink cross-over
Pale pink hair-tie
Pink ballet shoes with ribbons

Inter/Snr Classical Ballet (Grade 3 onwards)

Mulberry Pink sleeveless leotard
Mulberry pink wrap skirt
Ballet pink pantyhose
Black KLD warm-up top (specifically for classical classes)
Mulberry pink hair-tie
Pink ballet shoes with ribbons

Jazz/Tap classes

KLD t-shirt
KLD long-sleeve t-shirt

KLD shorts (generally worn by Junior students)

Performing Arts classes

Students require regular class attire plus the KLD Performance Tracksuit

Uniform Guidelines

• No chewing gum at any time
• No jewellery is to be worn excepting for one pair of studs, (no sleepers) for safety reasons
• A neat appearance is required at all times with the correct uniform being worn
• Hair must be worn in a neat bun to all technique classes. Neat ponytails are acceptable in performing arts classes Ie. Funk, Singing, Acrobatics and Cheerleading
• Make-up is not to be worn
• Students must enter and leave the studio in full studio uniform
